Funny what you can get when you request some extra protection. I drew the Runic protection charm ALU ULA on the shell this time.
The egg felt much heavier today. And my health has improved drastically.
I can tell that a lot of clearing has been done due to the large amount of upward strings all connected to tiny bubbles. And still larger bubbles on the rim.
No traces of blood either, meaning that the negative energy/influence has been neutralized.
As I know that my cold was a direct result from being set off balance, I decided to do a shamanicegg cleansing, which I always find to be effective and accurate.
I drew my healingbindrune on the shell and placed the egg under my bed overnight. I do feel better this morning.
But the fun part, to me, is the actual reading of the egg. It’s spot on, as usual.
The strings going upward indicate that quite a bit of negative energy has been removed and the large bubbles on the rim are a sign of strong spiritual protection (for which I have always been grateful). As is the cloud surrounding the yolk (which represents the self).
Now there is a small balloon next to the yolk (a recurring feature with me) on top of which there is a tiny blood spot indicating feeling a tidbit trapped and under the influence of a negative/evil person. The slight webbing in the vicinity is a sign of jealousy.
The result of this egg reading doesn’t surprise me at all… I’ll do another cleansing or 2 for good measure and maybe draw ALU (Ansuz-Laguz-Uruz) on the egg this time.
I realize now that I forgot to talk about the 9th night, which was about making peace within & without. When we let ourselves be led & carried over by our emotions (especially negative ones), we can quickly find ourselves in a state of imbalance which can lead to the destruction of the self and those around. Strive to keep a cool head. Acknowledge the emotions you are feeling, heal those emotions, and regain your peace. Turn Laguz into Isa: being emotionally removed doesn’t mean that you are emotionless but that you have regathered all the parts of the self into the I.
The 10th night is about being focused. Having good intentions and great battle plans is not enough to set things in motion (including your New Year’s resolutions). Action must follow thoughts: it doesn’t have to be drastic, it can be incremental (whatever best suits your pace & energy level). However, focus is required to not scatter your energy around or engage into wild goose chases. Remain realistic regarding how many projects/plans you can tackle as well.
Cut yourself from distractions & ground yourself. Stop talking, start doing. Just the mere effort of jumpstarting the action will also engage the energy which will then be channeled through the tunnel of your focus…And lead to the completion of your goal(s).
Please keep in mind that the following is a general trend that may or may not apply to you personally
This week’s Rune is LAGUZ, whose divinatory meanings are all about intuition, dreams, fantasies, illusions & delusions, spirituality & emotions. LAGUZ is a water Runes, which complements the rather earthy URUZ.
This time we are going even deeper into the (self) healing process as LAGUZ is asking us to go to the places of discomfort and hurt, dealing with our repressed/suppressed emotions, sexual issues, and unfulfilled dreams.
Be aware that unaddressed issues, even if kept buried deeply in a hidden corner or your mind & soul are still there nonetheless, weighing down on you. And they will re-emerge at the most inopportune of times when something will trigger them (it can be a word, a memory, a situation, even a person).
So why keep carrying unnecessary burdens that hinder our growth, wellbeing & happiness? Why keep invoking (even unknowingly) the dark fairy of ‘bad juju’ when all we want is to be able to find inner peace and move on with our lives?
The solution is simple: face your fears/inner demons and roll the dice! Change is at hand if you really want it. The wheel is always turning and new doorways, paths, people and/or opportunities will appear as long as you are willing to do the (healing) work.
Last weekend as I was teaching my Runic Meditation on Laguz, I was already thinking about which plant I would be working with for this Saturday’s class about Laguz’s medicine (which focuses on the healing qualities of the Rune from a physical, emotional and spiritual perspective – I also like to weave in my personal experience with energy work & finish the class with a divination), and Willow came to mind. Laguz meaning ‘water’ it was a logical thing to pick up a water-related plant. And I didn’t give any more thought it until a couple days ago.
I decided to go for a local hike in order to harvest some wild plants (I had promised some black sage to a friend in Kentucky and I’m a woman of my word so…). It was a warm, sunny day and I pretty much had the whole trail to myself – it was so peaceful there and I felt like a little girl in a candy store, checking all the different plants currently thriving on the trail while remaining very reasonable.
Besides black sage, I also picked some wild sunflowers, a few stems of California mugwortand I felt drawn to get a branch of willow(I think it might be a type of Pacific willow but I’m not a 100% sure yet). Willow bark is what is usually used for medicine but I figured that maybe I could do something with the leaves as well, at the very least dry them for incense making.
Today, reading on the plant’s lore, I read that the willow is not only a plant linked to the water element, but to the moon as well (which makes sense since the leaves were a bit whitish under). BUT what is the most interesting to me is that it’s also a plant strongly linked to the Underworld and the ‘Veiled One’ aka the Dark Goddess…Everything always seems to lead me back to her, which is perfectly fine with me ;).
This Full Moon has been rather intense, even more so that the water Scorpio’s been backed up with more water coming from Laguz (we entered the Runic month of Laguz on Sunday). Water is all about emotions, reflection, sensitivity, dreams, intuition, intimacy…etc. Scorpio is considered to be a reliable and predictable sign but it does have a shadow side, which can be stirred up by the Full Moon and brought up to light & awareness. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto – Roman God of the Underworld, which means that secretive things and skeletons in the closet may well pay you an overdue & unwanted visit. But what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and getting a bit of scorpion venom in your system will allow you to drop some of your load and come out of your journey to the Underworld refreshed & renewed.
If you’ve been working on a project, the Full Moon will give you some clarity. Now that everything is well defined, release your wish and let the Universe take care of the manifestation into the material realm.
The presence of Othila indicates that you have your bases covered and well anchored. What you’re doing is aligned with who you are and your personal values. Strong foundations are the building blocks of everything. Honor the nobility & sacredness of your path and/or calling. Inside the body, Othila is linked to the 2nd chakra which rules creativity & sexual energy (Scorpio rules the genitalia as well) so any imbalance on that level can hinder the healthy progression of your projects & dreams. Don’t be afraid to face the (wo)man in the mirror by addressing your own shadows. A little healing work will be beneficial and bring balance both to yourself and your situation.
Taking risks is part of the Scorpio’s game – the sting can either feel like Cupid’s arrow or slow dripping poison. The Student of Vessels says it’s time to take such risks. Enter the Scorpio’s dance, be open, be curious, and follow your intuition when it comes to love or other types of partnerships. But think with your heart rather than your raging hormones! Showing vulnerability can either strengthen bonds & connections or lead you to disappointment & heartbreak.
Life is a dance, nothing is easy. Sometimes it’s just a matter of being at the right time, at the right place & answering the call. But without taking any risks, there are no rewards. So trust yourself, trust your intuition and watch things unfold…
